Tasmanian franchisees Cassandra and Damian Colefax scooped up the top accolade at Just Cuts franchise awards.

Damian and Cassandra won the Franchisee of the Year award for outstanding operational performance as well as investing in ongoing team training and a positive relationship with other franchisees.

And it’s not their first win, explains Just Cuts GM Amber Manning.

Franchisees scoop up third win

“This is the third time Cassandra and Damian have been awarded Franchisee of the Year. This team are the epitome of franchisee success and why following the system works. They have successfully implemented confident policies into their network to support their stylists. They invest in the personal development and skill sets of their team and consistently participate in Just Cuts owners meetings, innovation committees and feedback forums.”

“They always have time to support other owners, which clearly demonstrates their passion for the brand. Cassandra and Damian are an impressive powerhouse within the Just Cuts family,” she said.

The couple, who opened their first salon 20 years ago, now own eight salons in Tasmania: Devonport, Eastlands, Glenorchy, Hobart, Kingston, Meadow Mews, Northgate Glenorchy and The Quadrant Mall.

Cassandra said “From humble beginnings, we are honoured to be the first franchisees to win this prestigious award on three separate occasions. Our team’s and our personal commitment to following the Just Cuts System has been paramount to our success over the past two decades.”

The pair are active in the wider franchising community with Cassandra elected to the Just Cuts Franchise Advisory Council, and Damian serving on the Franchise Council of Australia’s Franchisee Committee.

At this year’s awards Damian was also a joint winner alongside franchisee John Apostolou of the Innovation Award. Apostolou owns salons in Knox, Plenty Valley, The Glen, The Pines-Doncaster and Mildura Central.

The awards were held during the company’s annual international conference on a P&O Cruise from Brisbane to Airlie Beach, Queensland.
