Jim’s Pool Care promotes career progression with new partnership

Nick Hall

Jim’s Pool Care has unveiled a partnership with the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia (SPASA) streamlining franchisee accreditation.

The partnership sees SPASA’s certification integrated into the iconic franchise system, helping more than 100 franchise owners build essential skills.

Brett Blair, general manager of Jim’s Pool Care said he was “happy to support SPASA Australia’s efforts to educate pool professionals which will in turn, help to support pool owners all over Australia.”

The majority of Jim’s Pool Care franchisees have completed, at minimum, a Certificate III in Swimming Pool and Spa Service.

The fully-integrated accreditation program ensures franchisees apply the best up-to-date practices when servicing swimming pools around Australia.

Furthermore, the partnership marks a significant step in Jim’s network-wide accreditation plans. The franchisor revealed plans to have an accredited workforce of pool technicians who can provide feedback into the accreditation process.

Peter Holland from SPASA Australia said the new course requirements better prepared Jim’s franchisees for the future. He also outlined the partnership would further the group’s commitment to safety and quality.

“It is great to have the opportunity to enhance the industry standards, and great to work with Brett and Jim’s Pool Care in order to do so,” Holland said.

“The idea of having all new franchisees enrolled and immediately educated in the best practices of the industry is always good.”

Jim’s Pool Care partnerships

The SPASA partnership follows another franchisee-focused collaboration, this time with Spanish multinational group Fluidra.

Midway through 2018, the Fluidra Group merged Jim’s Pool Care supplier AstralPool with fellow brand Zodiac.

With the backing of the global company, Blair implemented a national training program, increasing franchisee knowledge and return on investment.

“We are currently rolling out a national program for all 105 franchisees in conjunction with Fluidra to ensure that we continue to build a strong relationship with our customers by providing the correct information on new products and services,” Blair said.

Jonas Ryberg, Fluidra Australia’s marketing director agreed, revealing Jim’s Pool Care would remain one of the brand’s key partners.

“AstralPool and Zodiac’s merger under Fluidra naturally brought much change, but the long-standing relationships and partnerships we have established with great companies like Jim’s will always remain an integral part of our business,” Ryberg said.

Jim’s Pool Care is one of the largest entities under the Jim’s Group banner. The mobile business has supplied pool maintenance and testing across Australia since 2003.
