A Jim’s Pool Care franchisee is the proud recipient of a string of accolades in recent pool service industry awards, including the top pool service technician award.

Chris Newman from Jim’s Pool Care Shellharbour was named Best In-Field Service Technician in Australia, and won several SPASA NSW state awards including Infield Service Technician and Best Mobile Service Business awards. 

The Swimming Pool & Spa Association of Australia awards recognise high performing pool professionals from pool care technicians to pool construction and pool design.

Chris has more than 20 years in the pool service industry and has been a past award winner, but he has never claimed the top gong.

He said “I am happy just going about running my business and keeping my pool customers happy, but I am also very motivated to succeed and winning the best pool technician in Australia has been on my bucket list of goals”.

Chris built a large Jim’s Pool Care business in Sydney before selling up to make a sea change. Moving to the  Illawara region he then took on the Shellharbour outlet and has shown his business smarts by establishing an award-winning pool cleaning and equipment business. 

Brett Blair, general manager of Jim’s Pool Care, said Chris has always been a top performer within the Jim’s Pool Care team.

We  also know how passionate he is about helping his customers and making sure their pools always look their best, so for that I would like to personally congratulate Chris for his  amazing service and his string of recent awards.” 

The Jim’s Pool Care franchise model is a national network of one stop mobile pool shops with a variety of income streams. Services include pool cleaning, regular maintenance, pool chemicals, pool heating, inspections, lighting, pool blankets, and robotic cleaners.
