Jetts Fitness has been named top franchisor in the SmartCompany Top 50 awards, a listing which included fellow franchise brands Plus Fitness and Top Snap Marketing.

The SmartCompany awards recognise fast growing small to medium enterprises in Australia, based on revenue growth in the past three financial years.

Jetts, the 24 hour gym [pictured right], came in at 26 in the listings, showing an 85.43 percent growth rate, and revenue of $78,502,000.

Group managing director Adrian McFedries said “Throughout this incredible period of growth, what has underpinned every club opening is the commitment to maintain the same high standard of operation and dedication to giving our members the best experience in our clubs.”

The next growth phase for Jetts is to triple its footprint in the Sydney and regional New South Wales market, investing to build the portfolio here from 20 to 60 clubs.

For Top Snap, which was listed at 44, the recognition comes on the heels of the photography firm’s expansion into New Zealand.

This took the number of Top Snap territories to 44, a 75 percent increase in territory numbers over the past two years.

Helen Clarke, Top Snap general manager, said “Growing fast enough to win this award is a great achievement for Top Snap, especially as we had to beat a large number of entrants to make the final list.”

The Plus Fitness group, which has been ranked at 28, had revenue of $7,937,091 and growth of 83.91 percent.

Plus Fitness was founded by John Fuller and Nigel Miller.
