Two experienced hydraulics professionals and business owners are expanding their services, taking on a brand new Hydraulink franchise at Rockhampton.

Together they join a network of more than 400 service points across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands.

Charlie Goodwin and Brad Hutchins are already business partners at Aussie Lapping Services which provides hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanical service and repairs for clients in Central Queensland and beyond.

“Hydraulink offers great service and turnaround times on orders. Working with a national network really makes it easy when servicing clients,” says Charlie, who believes the “can do” attitude and business ethics match perfectly with the culture he and Brad have instilled at their existing business.

The new Hydraulink Rockhampton franchise will service anything hydraulic, with a particular focus on the main local industries, such as drilling, construction, mining and agriculture, ensuring conformity with industry safety and compliance standards across individual and multiple sites.

The pair bring experience backed by a range of qualifications. They have worked in challenging and demanding environments, including  underground mining and BHP’s Mining Area C in the Pilbara.

Hydraulink’s alignment with MDG-41 (Mechanical Design Guideline 41) , which outlines safe working practices for the manufacture and assembly of high pressure hoses and fittings, impressed the pair.

Wayne Abbott, national franchise manager, believes the new franchisees’ wealth of experience will stand them in good stead.

“Both Charlie and Brad have strong analytical skills, and they are adept at diagnosing problems and devising optimum solutions for clients needing hydraulic assistance. Their experience, coupled with their go-getting attitude will set them up for success,” he says.
