Hudsons supports asthma charity

Hudsons Coffee has announced a national sponsorship partnership with Asthma Australia that will boost research into the disease.

The choice of Asthma Australia fits with the profile of the coffee franchise chain, which has a strong presence in hospitals around Australia.

Mark Brooke, CEO of Asthma Australia said `We are delighted in announcing this partnership to create a new Hudsons Coffee career fellowship in asthma research. This partnership means a lot, this is the opportunity to take our message to the Hudsons Coffee customer base, but equally, it is an opportunity for Asthma Australia and its member foundations to promote the Hudsons Coffee brand, right across our network.’

Adam Summerville, managing director of Emirates Leisure Retail Australia, owner of Hudsons Coffee said `We have been searching for an esteemed national partner for some time and realise that it is important that Hudsons makes a valued and sustainable contribution to the communities we operate in. In Asthma Australia, we are proud to be associated with a national brand cause that delivers exceptional support to the asthma community and into ground breaking research for this debilitating disease.

“Over half of our stores reside in hospital locations across Australia, so this association supports our brand’s presence and future growth in this area.’

Nearly 2.3 million people have asthma in Australia and asthma remains the leading cause of hospitalisation and school absenteeism for Australian children.

  • Hudsons Coffee has 75 stores nationally and is owned by Emirates Leisure Retail Australia (ELRA), a wholly owned subsidiary of the high profile Emirates Group.
