Hudsons Coffee. The place to be when times are tough

ifbadmin

When their son needed frequent medical treatment at the Queensland Children’s Hospital, Arthur and his wife were regular visitors to the on-site Hudsons Coffee store.

“The team noticed this and started a rewards program on our behalf,” Arthur says. “They surprised us with free coffee,”

This is just one small example of how Hudsons Coffee franchise partners have been going above and beyond to brighten their customers’ lives.

“Thirty five or our 85 stores are situated in hospitals,” says general manager Jarrod Montigue. “Throughout the pandemic, they’ve been serving healthcare workers, patients and their visitors with food and beverages around the clock.”

In other locations, franchise partners are doing an impressive job of keeping their doors open.

“They’re rising to the challenge of trading in heavily-restricted conditions while keeping themselves, their staff and their customers safe,” Jarrod says.

A Melbourne heritage

Hudsons Coffee was born in Melbourne in 1998.

“Melbourne is widely recognised as one of the world’s great coffee cities,” Jarrod says. “We were proud to open our first café on Elizabeth Street in the heart of the CBD.”

Within months, queues were forming around the block. And, today, you can enjoy Hudsons Coffee in every state and territory in Australia.

“Hudsons Coffee has been built on the belief that everyone, everywhere deserves great coffee,” Jarrod says.

The company has been roasting its own beans twice a week for over 20 years and always has two distinct blends on offer – creamy Premium and Barista’s Choice for a robust espresso shot. There’s also a seasonal Single Origin blend which, at the moment, is a medium-to-dark blend from two regions in Peru.

Of course there’s more to a great café than great coffee. When it comes to food, Hudson’s Coffee balances popular classics with fresh, seasonal options and delicious treats. A recently-introduced new menu also offers more plant-based sandwiches and freshly made, healthy and convenient food like chia seed and fresh fruit pots.

Franchise partners embrace Hudsons Coffee’s values as well as a passion for coffee. They were the first to offer paper takeaway cups when Styrofoam was the norm and are long-time partners of KeepCup reusable coffee cups. They also support the education and development of the next generation of Peruvian coffee farmers with the Hudsons Scholarship.
