Hire A Hubby CEO Brendan Green is on the hunt for more recruits to join the expanding franchise in capital cities and major regional areas over the next 12 months .

Last year the handyman franchise added 40 franchisees to its line-up.

Green said “While DIY hand skills are important to the property maintenance work our franchisees do, the most important thing is having experience in managing customer expectations and co-ordinating projects as the business grows.

“We’ve noticed that more and more people are coming to us from white collar backgrounds with the experience and capability of employing others and growing beyond just a ‘man-in-a-van’.”

Investment levels start at $45,000 and an income guarantee is part of the package.

“Hire A Hubby is a very feasible option for people looking to start their own business, with income guarantees ranging from $1,000 per week over the first 12 weeks for our Bronze investment through to $100,000 a year for our Gold territories,” said Green.

Franchisees also benefit from the Hub-E-Connect automated job allocation system that sends details of nearby jobs. They also have head office support and the guidance of a field manager, who helps monitor KPI performance in key areas including quote conversions, gross profit and hourly labour cost.
