Harrington Homes franchise launches with two investment models

Three generations and more than 45 years of family building experience are behind the Harrington Homes franchise launch.

The well-established family firm has unveiled two investment models for franchise buyers.

One option is designed for experienced builders equipped with both a building and driver’s licence; the second model suits non-builder investors who love the concept and can employ builders to complete the projects.

Lachlan Harrington, director of franchising, told Inside Franchise Business “Even though we are just recently releasing franchise opportunities, the team has spent a number of years perfecting our franchise systems, curating our plans and building the business to a place where it stands to compete with the best in the business.

“Now is a great time to get into franchising, as a lot of people saw with Covid and losing their jobs, it’s much more promising to be your own boss. Specifically with the building franchise sector, federal and state governments have released a number of grants to keep the house market booming.”

Denita Wawn, CEO of Master Builders Australia, points to the Federal Government’s HomeBuilder initiative for an example of a financial boost for the sector.

“HomeBuilder will support $18 billion in new home construction and $50 billion in economic activity across the wider economy,” she said.

Harrington Homes has the goal of adding 10 new franchises to the business in 2021 to cope with the predicted boom in building and home renovation.

Franchisees will benefit from streamlined operations thanks to the investment Harrington Homes has ploughed in to technology platforms. The family firm also set-up the Buildertrend system to provide a one-stop-shop for franchisees to access vital information about quotes, contracts, build quantities, and costs.

Franchisees will also be able to utilise the brand’s national suppliers for their projects – suppliers such as Bunnings Trade, Beaumont Tiles, Haymes Paint, Lockwood and Tradelink.

Harrington Homes’ franchise investment opportunities start from $33,000 plus GST with additional working capital required.
