Gelatissimo launches bubble tea dessert

Sarah Stowe

Franchised gelato brand Gelatissimo is launching its latest limited edition flavour inspired by the global bubble tea phenomenon.

Brown Sugar Bubble Milk Tea is made up of organic Assam tea, a robust, black tea with notes of malt, which is brewed and infused with the decadent creamy gelato, and finished off with a swirl of rich brown sugar syrup. Tapioca pearls add a layer of texture and reflect the dessert’s inspiration.

Gelatissimo CEO, Filipe Barbosa says “We love creating innovative and fun new flavours, so we’re so excited to release a gelato that is unique and unlike anything we’ve done before.”

The bubble milk flavour gelato is available in a cup or cone, and can also be purchased as a take home pack (with pearls provided separately) or made into a shake.

Take-home packs across the gelato range can now be delivered by delivery partners Uber Eats, DoorDash or Deliveroo.

The latest innovative dessert a is available across all Gelatissimo stores in Australia from Friday the 24th of July for a limited time only.

Gelatissimo has made a name for itself whipping up exotic and crazy flavour combinations and quirky dessert ideas, such as the pooch-friendly gelato in 2019.

Traditional Italian methods are at the heart of this freshly-made gelato (no artificial colour or flavouring) for this Aussie sensation.

The gelato chain opened its first store in Sydney in 2002 and the business has grown to the current 43 stores across the country with 26 overseas locations including Singapore and China.
