Games2U has officially expanded into the world of franchising, with the company recently signing its first franchisee.

Geordie Goodman has signed a franchise agreement with Games2U that will see him cater to all the party and event needs of residents in the Sutherland Shire.

His new sprinter model vehicle has been ordered and while the business, which will operate under the name Games2U The Shire, is set to launch in April, he is already taking bookings.

Wayne McNiece, franchisor, Games2U said the company is “delighted” to have Geordie on board.

“The Shire is a great spot to kick off our first franchise, it is an area where demand is strong for our services, Geordie’s booking diary is well underway and locals are going to need to get in early to take advantage of some great local opening offers.”

Geordie said he was looking to invest in a successful new business that offered something a little different, and Games 2U fit the bill.

“I have been on the lookout for another business opportunity and wanted something new and exciting in the market place”

“After getting the opportunity to go out with Wayne and see the success the games trailer was generating was the deciding factor,” he explained.

Geordie believes the business will prove quite successful by virtue of the fact he has lived in the area for many years.

“Knowing so many local people, I could see the opportunity to build a strong local business,” he said.

McNiece said Games2U is currently looking to franchise more locations, and potential franchisees from all over the country have already registered their interest.
