The acquisitions will bring the portfolio to a total of 23 salons.

Eight of the acquired businesses are former salons of the collapsed Evolve group.

Jean-Francois Carre, director of Franck Provost Australia, said “We envision the potential for Franck Provost Paris salons in Australia is at least 50 salons nationwide, and we plan to add another 10 salons to the network on average over the next four years.

“So with the eight former Evolve salons that could be saved and upgraded to Franck Provost Paris salons, we are now ahead of that plan.

“Our focus for 2016 is to keep track on that path, and rather than focusing on specific cities or areas, we prefer to seize the right opportunities in terms of location, positioning and fit to the brand, wherever and whenever they arise.”

The latest salons to join the network are located in high traffic shopping centres: Erina Fair, Tweed City Shopping Centre, Westfield Hornsby, Westfield Kotara and Westfield Tuggerah in New South Wales; and three in Townsville shopping centres – Castletown, Stockland and Willows.

A salon in Paddington, Sydney is also rebranding to the Franck Provost Paris chain.
