Steve Costi’s Famous Fish has expansion plans in 2017. With four franchises already established, the brand has an appetite for growth.

“We anticipate more than doubling our current store numbers this year, and getting into double digits by year’s end,” said Sal El-Houli, general manager.

“Our focus remains on expanding throughout the New South Wales and Victoria markets for now,” he added.

The initial costs start at $200,000 and franchisees are assisted in site selection, lease and store layout assistance.

El-Houli said investment amounts can vary dependent on any cash incentives that may be achieved via the landlords (which is fully provided to franchisees to contribute to their shop fit out costs) and/or the size of the tenancy. In some cases, an investment amount of less than $200,000 may be achievable.

Training, marketing and ongoing operational support is also provided.
