Fitness Enhancement, boutique personal training with a difference, celebrates 21st birthday

Back in 1999 Fitness Enhancement was just an idea in the mind of Nerang local, 19-year-old uni student Scott Hunt. Armed with a dream and a few hundred dollars he opened his modest personal training business on the Gold Coast.

Fast forward 21 years and Fitness Enhancement is now a chain of boutique private personal training studios spanning six cities and 2000 Aussie suburbs.

Now CEO, Scott Hunt points to the business model’s resilience through tough times.

Offering a studio and mobile PT model, the brand has survived the havoc of the Covid lockdowns and restrictions by delivering fitness sessions in outdoor areas.

Scott says “While already invested in this area, we were able to pivot the business to really build that market and accommodate clients during the lockdown periods.

“We’ve spent 21 years helping people live a fitter and healthier life and we are so proud that the hard work of the whole team has helped us not only get through Covid but business right now is booming!

“We’ve helped keep all our staff and franchisees in business and continue to create new jobs. We’re looking forward to keep growing and showing everyone in Australia how we can help you achieve your goals no matter where you started from.”

Every gym and fitness business has a target and core market; Scott Hunt’s business is no different.

What distinguishes this mobile fitness chain is the capacity to deliver services in the disability sector, an area of growing demand. Government funding is available for eligible participants.

Since becoming a registered National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider, Fitness Enhancement is able to help even more people living with a disability to achieve their health and fitness goals.
