Fastway Couriers Sydney expands franchise management team

Fastway Couriers Sydney has appointed Cameron Taylor as its new director of operations, meanwhile Yaggy Gill has taken up the role of regional franchise manager.

General manager David Ciantar said the Sydney franchise has grown rather substantially over the past 12 months, and online retail is booming.

“I’m delighted to announce the appointments of both Cameron and Yaggy, who are both very experienced and bring a wealth of knowledge to the franchise.

“We’re certainly delighted with the growth we’re experiencing at Fastway Sydney and these appointments have taken place to support that growth,” he added.

Ciantar said the newly employed Taylor and Gill will build upon the service and support Fastway already delivers.

“We instil a customer first philosophy in all our business activities and with Yaggy and Cameron joining the team, we’ll continue to deliver the very best service and support to our Courier Franchisees and customers.”

He expects the business will continue to grow thanks to the continued growth of online retail. “We‘ve seen a huge shift in the market and we now receive the majority of our business from online retail.

“In fact, we’ve just delivered our 500,000th carton of wine for 2013, that’s a 25 per cent increase in wine delivery. If this continues, it’s predicted we’ll move one million cartons of wine this calendar year,” Ciantar said.

It seems the timing of the new appointments could not have been better, considering Ciantar predicts Fastway will be incredibly busy over the upcoming holiday season.

“We’re expecting a busy lead up to Christmas but we’re committed to tackling it head on and maintaining our unfaltering level of service excellence.”

Figures suggest that Fastway Couriers is on track to seeing a 20 percent growth in the number of online purchases compared to last year.
