Express Employment ready for expansion after bumper year

Sarah Stowe

Express Employment Professionals had a bonanza year in 2021 with the global staffing firm achieving its first-ever US$1billion quarter in July to October.

The business is a fairly recent addition to Australian franchising. In 2020 Express Employment Professional bought Australian business Frontline Recruitment Group.

In May 2021 Express appointed its first Australian franchise in Canberra and signing up a South Australian franchisee in December 2021.

In New Zealand the inaugural franchise was opened in July 2021.

While it is new to these shores, the brand has a long history of franchising in its home base of North America where last year it continued to expand.

In 2022, Express Employment will focus its energies on franchise opportunities in both Australia and New Zealand as well as implementing aggressive expansion plans for the US.

Key target locations include Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch.

Heading into this year on the back of a bumper 12 months the business is well-positioned for “exponential growth”, according to Vinny Provenzano, vice president of franchising.

“We’re leveraging this momentum as we move into the new year, zeroing in on key markets throughout our international footprint where our professional workforce solutions are needed most,” he said.

Vinny pointed to the role franchisees can play in helping clients deal with employment challenges as the pandemic continues to have an impact on the workforce.

“We are more grateful than ever for our network of dedicated franchisees who continue to serve as vital resources in their respective communities, and we remain committed to helping good people and good jobs find each other,” he said.
