Carl’s Jr. to open more Queensland stores

Carl’s Jr., the Californian-born burger franchise has announced two new store openings on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The franchise will bring their brand of classic, handmade American burgers to Pimpama from July 18, with Hope Island hot on its heels, slated to open in November.

The Pimpama store will be Queensland’s second freestanding drive-thru restaurant and the second of 20 Carl’s Jr. restaurants that leading family-owned retailer, Bansal Group has earmarked for the state following the successful launch of Carl’s Jr. Redbank Plains earlier this year.

The Pimpama Central precinct is home to the new Carl’s Jr., along with other notable retailers such as Woolworths, BWS, Amcal, United Petrol, as well as a childcare centre and healthcare professionals.

Bansal Group General Manager, Shawn Kerr believes the central location is key to accessing the Gold Coast market.

“We chose this location due to its tremendous growth potential and the opportunity to make our home in Pimpama Central, which is right in the heart of the suburb as well as easily accessible from the Pacific Motorway,” Kerr said.

Gold Coast residents, and Brisbane travellers enroute to the coast will now be able to enjoy affordable, handmade menu classics such as 100% Angus Beef Thickburgers®, Hand-Breaded Chicken Tenders™, Hand-Scooped Ice Cream Shakes as well as high-quality breakfast sandwiches, premium coffee and desserts from Carl’s Jr.’s iconic California-influenced menu. For the health conscious, there are also low-carb alternatives with any Carl’s Jr. sandwich or burger available in a lettuce wrap.

The Pimpama opening caps off the global burger chain’s successful expansion run in Australia and follows impressive openings in Bateau Bay (NSW), Redbank Plains (QLD), and Killburn (SA), all of which cracked the top-5 for best-performing stores globally in their first month of operation.

Bansal Group owner, Vishal Bansal, said the group is proud to continue their partnership with the American brand.

“Not only is this global burger chain always pushing the envelope when it comes to innovative menu items like their Western Bacon Cheeseburger™ and Portobello Mushroom Thickburger™, but like us, they are also extremely dedicated to providing exceptional customer service and delivering fresh, high quality food. The brand clearly fills a gap in the market for a premium quality burger experience at the price and convenience of fast food.”

Bansal Group will open another eight restaurants in southeast Queensland by the end of next year with West Ipswich also opening in July, Rothwell in August, Eagleby in September and Hope Island in November, while Logan Hyperdome, Burpengary and Berrinba will open in 2019.
