A family affair; Brumby’s Bakery second generation baker

Nick Hall

Brumby’s Bakery Bulimba franchisee, Lara Russell has a pedigree for franchising success. Her partner’s Scott’s parents were Brumby’s first franchisees, which in her words has provided a head-start on success.

The Queensland entrepreneur has built a profitable business in one of the state’s most affluent community areas. Russell believes it has been her focus on the local neighbourhood that has allowed the franchise to easily transition into the Bulimba landscape.

Here, Russell shares her tips on building community trust, starting a new franchise and outlines the support she receives from her Brumby’s franchise partner.
