Banjo’s
Franchise commenced:
1990

Banjo’s Bakery Cafe was founded in Tasmania in 1984. The idea behind the bakery was to provide customers with a place to sit down and enjoy freshly baked bread, pies, cakes or homemade treats for breakfast, lunch, or a snack with a barista made coffee.

Over the years, Banjo’s has grown to more than 40 stores across Tasmania, Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland and South Australia. Slow enough to ensure we stay true to our origins and our customers, but large enough to ensure we have the quality systems and processes in place.

Our products are handmade every day by people who are passionate about baking. We really do strive to bake things better and deliver food that you can enjoy in store in a comfortable and relaxing atmosphere or serve in the convenience of your home or business.

Today, Banjo’s has grown to serve over 6.3 million customers each year—a testament to our success. Our vision is to be Australia’s Leading Local Bakery Cafe, and we’d love you to join us on our journey. We are more than a bakery and cafe—we are a meeting place, a place to enjoy a treat, a spot where you will always find good food that puts you in a good mood.

In our four decades of operation, we have built a reputation for providing high-quality baked goods and excellent customer service. We are committed to enriching the communities we serve by offering fresh, nutritious bread and pastries that are made from scratch daily.

Banjo’s Bakery Cafe is a growing brand with a defined expansion strategy, and we’re looking for business operators who want to be part of an Australian success story.
