Brand new franchise Camy’s Chargrill Chicken ready to expand

It’s new to the world of franchising but Camy’s Chargrill Chicken has been trading for five years. Now it’s ready to expand and spread its high-end chicken shop model across the country.

There are plans to open new locations in Sydney and beyond, building on the success of the three company-owned stores located in inner Sydney at Green Square, Mascot and Surry Hills.

Cameron Khilla founded the business in 2016 and now this 20-something entrepreneur is fired up about growth.

“We’ve always believed in our product and are really excited that we will now be able to share our happiness and passion with more people, while spreading our flavours and traditions in more places,” he said.

Camy’s has shown its ability to trade through lockdowns, with takeaway and delivery orders providing revenue streams. There’s also a catering capability, offering a personalised menu to suit the occasion.

On the main menu at this quick service restaurant are chargrill chicken, salads, burgers, wraps and drinks, and the business caters for all meal times: breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Recruiting for franchisees, James Young, head of franchise development at consultancy firm DC Strategy, said the high-end chicken shop is ready to fly.

“Camy’s Chargrill Chicken brings a new era to the casual dining food space and paves the way for a young generation of franchise owners. Cameron has built a successful business operation and created a humbling work environment for his family and staff.”

DC Strategy has set a two-year expansion plan for Camy’s, and Cameron has big goals – he’s gunning for the top slot in chargrilled chicken.
