Boost Juice Bars is launching a $700k promotion, beginning on 3 March 2008. The four week Big Banana Peel promotion, in conjunction with Mazda, will see customers lifting a banana-shaped strip to reveal if they have won any of the fantastic prizes, ranging from a Mazda2 Genki to a free Boost snack.

The creation of the new wind-up ÔJumping BarryÕ is part of a new push for the brandÕs mascot who will be taking a more active role in the marketing of Boost in the coming year. Barry represents the Ôlove lifeÕ attitude of Boost and is central to the Big Banana Peel promotion.

National marketing and promotions manager, Jessica Cleeve, said, “ItÕs fair to say Barry is a pretty random character, and we will build his profile to showcase the irreverence and passion of the Boost brand. But Barry is certainly his own man, and we are keen to embrace that via his Facebook site, some experiential activity and other programs.”

The promotion also sees the trial of paper cups in a decision to switch to these across the company.
