Sarah Stowe

Boost Juice Bars has added South Korea to its international portfolio with a master franchise agreement. Jacinta Caithness, CEO of Boost International said “South Korea has already embraced the juice and smoothie bar concept so we are hoping to have over 30 stores opened within the region in the next three to five years. Our newly appointed master franchisees, ÔJosephÕ Young Duk Chang and Kim Sung Yeo come to us with significant retail food and beverage experience in the region, so we look forward to working with them and using their local knowledge to break into the market.”

South Korea has a population of more than nine million people and its capital Seoul, is viewed by Boost as the best opportunity for expansion.

The juice bar franchise has a presence in 16 countries including the UK, South Africa and Chile and there is a China master franchise agreement with the Dash Brands group. Other Asian franchise arrangements for Boost exist in Singapore, Macau, Hong Kong, Thailand and Indonesia (see pic above).
