Award-winning InXpress franchisee on picking the right business

Bhavin Shah is a multi-award-winning franchisee with InXpress, and he operates the Wanneroo, Western Australia, franchise. Bhavin is an InXpress champion – he has just won the brand’s Franchise of the Year Award for 2019.

He also took out the top spot for Highest Margin Growth and was rated in third place for Highest New Customer Activations.

Bhavin was trained as an IT engineer who then moved into sales and business operations before deciding to do something for himself.

In January 2018, Bhavin joined the InXpress network and since then has used his sales skills to drive rapid business growth.

So how did he know he had picked the right business?

“I made a checklist of what I wanted in my own business ,” he says.

In reviewing the InXpress business model, Bhavin believed he had found a brand that fulfilled his needs and he signed up to a franchise in February 2018. Just two months later he was attending the franchisee bootcamp, the first step to building his own business.

Joining the franchise without any experience of the freight and shipping industry Bhavin was entirely reliant on the bootcamp to provide him with extensive knowledge of the business, its place within the logistics chain and a sense of the processes and business structure work.

Today, with a bevy of awards to his name, Bhavin can say his business choice has been a good one.

“I enjoy the work-from-anywhere lifestyle and the flexibility that it gives me to operate (almost) at my own hours,” he says.
