Amber celebrates 40 years in business

Australian owned and operated tile and paving franchise Amber celebrates a milestone this month, its 40th anniversary.

To mark the occasion the franchise will run new advertisements, don its stores with decorations and run a number of special offers for customers.

Amber opened its first store in the Sydney suburb of Waitara in 1973, and since then it has expanded to include 27 franchised stores across New South Wales, the ACT and Queensland.

Managing director Phil Crawford said he is incredibly proud of Amber’s past and present success, and is confident the brand will continue to perform in the future.

“From a small store in Sydney to almost 30 outlets now trading across three states/territories – what an incredible achievement! I am so proud of the entire Amber family including of course, our franchisees and support office staff.

“I have every confidence that Amber will continue to flourish during the next 40 years,” Crawford said

He added there are two key factors that determine the success of a franchise. “Well-established channels of communication and a strong support network are essential to the success of any franchise operation.

“Amber prides itself on the quality of our offering to franchisees just as much as the quality, value and on-trend offering of our product range.”
