Pizza franchise Crust Pizza is set to offer AFL fans a surprise as AFL captains Taylor Walker of the Adelaide Crows and Travis Boak of Port Adelaide deliver pizzas across the city.

The pizza franchise’s footy competition will see some lucky Adelaide customers have their pizza delivered by an AFL captain, with customers who purchase the Crust Captain’s Deal during the next six weeks able to vote for who they would prefer to be their surprise delivery driver.

Crust pizza franchise managing director Renee North said that in anticipation leading up to the launch, the brand sent the captain’s out on the road to test their skills.

“We sent the boys out for a test run to try and score a few goals with the locals, and to see if they have what it takes to be a Crust delivery driver.

“They performed better than expected and caught a few customers off guard; it’s not every day you get your pizza delivered by an AFL star,” North said.

North said that the brand’s Adelaide franchisees were strong supporters of the local community and avid AFL fans, which has catapulted this campaign into everybody’s interest.

“We pride ourselves on the ability to provide wholesome pizzas made using the highest quality, locally sourced fresh produce.

“Fresh food is our passion and we think that this campaign fits well with the brand’s healthy lifestyle positioning. Our franchisees have also been quite honoured to host sporting royalty in their stores,” North said.
