12 Round (12RND), which offers short, high intensity interval training programs, is gearing up to open 20 new clubs next year. Is your state on the radar?

This fitness franchise model allows members to start every three minutes to increase the membership capacity of clubs by up to 50 percent, as opposed to offering fixed class times.

Tim West, 12RND managing director, said in the first year of franchising this year, 19 franchises have been sold. And there are no plans to slow down.

“The aim is an additional 20 clubs open next year with a minimum of one site in each state and territory,” he said.

“We expect that 70 to 80 percent of clubs will be on the east coast, inline with the population, but we are committed to a nationwide expansion.

“We expect Western Australia, South Australia and the Northern Territory to all have clubs open in the first six months of 2017.”

So what’s included in the franchise model?

The total initial investment is under $160,000 and the franchisor assists franchisees during the leasing process and fit out. All franchisees and initial staff are required to attend and pass the 12RND training modules before opening a club. 12RND also provides ongoing training, periodic reviews of marketing, operations and support.
