4-star franchise rated mobile coffee brand revealed: Xpresso Mobile Cafe

Australia has its very first 4-star franchise rated mobile coffee brand. Xpresso Mobile Cafe has been recognised for its business transparency and franchise performance on the Australian Franchise Rating Scale.

Ratings up to 5-star are allocated following an independent and fact-based assessment across seven key categories of business.

FRANdata operates the rating scale and its Australian CEO, Darryn McAuliffe, revealed the review team was particularly impressed with the training program and how it positioned franchisees for success.

Xpresso Mobile Café also evidenced a strong commitment to the measurement and ongoing monitoring of franchisee satisfaction,” McAuliffe said. “These factors coupled with a disciplined recruitment program have contributed strongly to a very low churn rate across the network.”

Xpresso’s boss, Jonathan Payne, said  the business was delighted with the recognition – particularly as it has come during the pandemic.

“Rather than our business hibernating, our mobile cafes were able to quickly pivot and mobilise to meet the expectations of our customers,” he said. “

“Our focus is happy franchisees and our FRANdata rating shows we are on the right path but there is always more work to do.”

FRANdata Australia is the country’s leading franchise business intelligence and information advisory business and has been awarding star ratings since winter 2019.

Other brands in the hospitality space to have been recognised as high performing franchise systems are Muffin Break, Jamaica Blue, Chocolateria San Churro and Ferguson Plarre.

The rating isn’t just for food and beverage brands though, it is available for any franchise system that submits to the assessment.

The very first franchise system to be recognised was Quest Apartment Hotels. Other brands include FCF Fire & Electrical, First Class Accounts, Gutter-Vac, Pack & Send and Poolwerx,
