A further 21 JUMP! Swim Schools join new franchisor Belgravia Group, following months of speculation and a series of legal proceedings involving various entities of the JUMP! Swim Schools business.

In July BK’s Gym & Swim, a subsidiary of the multi-brand investment company, purchased an initial 40 franchise agreements of the main franchisor company, Swim Loops. The 21 additional outlets are now reunited with the network.

However, there are still some non-operational JUMP! Swim School franchises where franchisee agreements were sold but no swim school delivered by the previous management. Belgravia is in the process of evaluating these agreements.

The Melbourne-based group has also since purchased the intellectual property and trademarks relating to JUMP! to ensure that the group can keep operating with a business as usual approach.

Commenting on the acquisitions, Belgravia Kids Swim CEO Mark Collins said “the Group has been through an extremely difficult time recently and Belgravia is looking forward to providing a new, exciting partnership with its dedicated and hardworking franchisee base.

“We have sought to bring stability back over the past few months and have started to launch new initiatives such as our new national campaign for new enrolments to win a family holiday to start growing the group again.”

Belgravia Group chairman, Geoff Lord added “having dealt with three liquidators, a receiver and an administrator as well as a number of concerned franchisees, we are now in a position to take this forward.”

“Best of all we will be expanding our provision of swimming lessons to tens of thousands of kids, equipping them with a vital life skill.”
