The challenges of buying and running a franchise: Quest franchisee couple [video interview]

Franchising magazine cover franchisees Sheree and Lee Bennett talk in this video interview about how they bought into the Quest Serviced Apartment network and the challenges of business expansion.

The young couple admit the hardest aspects were looking at the back end of the business, making sure they got the most out of the franchisee/franchisor relationship, dealing with leases and the bank.

“It was quite scary to go and ask a bank for a lot of money to run the business. That’s where Quest helped us a lot,” says Lee.

When the pair was ready to move from single property ownership to multi-unit ownership it meant relocating with a young family to a brand new area.
