Local ‘pizzapreneur’ Daniel Evans has opened his seventh pizza store in New South Wales – Domino’s St Leonards – proving he has the ‘recipe for success’ when it comes to business.

The new store fired up its ovens this week and is said to bring around 30 new jobs for the area.

“I started with Domino’s 26 years ago as a delivery driver in Newcastle, and worked my way up to store manager, before becoming a franchisee,” Evans said.

“I currently own and operate stores at Lane Cove and Crows Nest so St Leonards is an area I am very familiar with and have grown to love. “It’s very exciting to open this new store, which will include an upstairs dine-in area and business catering for the busy CBD area.”

The St Leonards store will do 100 per cent of deliveries using electronic pushbikes to increase efficiencies in delivery times and reduce impact on the environment.

“Not only do the pushbikes help the environment, they also reduce noise in the area and provide a fun, safe and active away for us to deliver pizza to our customers,” Evans said.

“Our pushbikes have been designed and modified for our delivery needs, ensuring our drivers can safely deliver piping hot pizzas while doing our bit for the environment.

“I am plan to transition all three of my stores in the area, including Lane Cove and Crows Nest, to do 90 per cent of deliveries using e-bikes.”

Evans explained that while making great pizzas is his passion, he is also keen to support local community groups.

“We strongly believe in giving back to the community that has supported us so strongly through our other stores in the area,” he said.
