Workplace health and safety products and services company SafetyQuip is celebrating its 20th year in business. 

When the business was established in 1992 it had just two staff members, founder and CEO Gary Shearer and his wife Joan.

The Sunshine Coast business has since expanded to encompass 15 franchised stores and countless staff across New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and Western Australia.  

The company has also appeared on the BRW fast franchises list in 2010, 2011 and 2012.

“I’m extremely proud to have reached this milestone,” said Shearer.

He explained the business would not be as successful as it is today without its franchisees.

“I have to give credit where it’s due – to the dedicated, hard-working franchisees who are unsurpassed in their drive to deliver superior products and services to their customers.”

The company has marked the occasion by issuing a new products and services catalogue that highlights its support of the Australia Men’s Shed Association.

The catalogue cover features members of the Wangaratta District Men’s Shed in Victoria who submitted the winning photograph in the SafetyQuip Men’s Shed photograph competition.
