Pizza Capers still pleasing despite acquisition

Pizza franchise Pizza Capers’ acquisition by Retail Food Group has not affected its consumers’ satisfaction with the brand, as indicated by a recent Canstar Blue survey.

The franchise received five stars in the Overall Satisfaction, Service at Ordering and Taste of Pizza categories, ahead of other franchises including Eagle Boys, Pizza Hut and Domino’s.

“The results show Pizza Capers has continued to deliver for its customers since listed franchise group Retail Food Group purchased the gourmet brand earlier this year in February. This is the second year Pizza Capers has taken out the top prize in our Pizza Stores category,” said manager of Canstar Blue, Rebecca Logan.

“Given Retail Food Group announced ambitious plans to increase Pizza Capers store numbers by 18 per cent in 2012, it is promising to see they are not growing at the expense of their customer experience so far.”

The survey also found that one in two respondents prefer to spend more on gourmet pizza, and 27 per cent of respondents have the best of intentions in choosing a lower calorie pizza option, but change their mind in favour of comfort food at the last minute.

Canstar Blue commissions Colmar Brunton to survey 2,500 Australian consumers across a range of categories every few months to measure and track customer satisfaction.
