PappaRich recruiting franchisees for national expansion

PappaRich Group, a popular Malaysian eatery, was established in 2005 with its first outlet in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The business has expanded rapidly and internationally with 70 outlets in Malaysia and has been in operating in Australia since 2012, with 22 across Victoria, New South Wales, Western Australia, Queensland, South Australia, Australian Capital Territory and Northern Territory

“We have an exciting plans for 2017,” said Lee Jian Hui, general manager, PappaRich Australia.

“With the new (express) model developed, we are looking to have another 10 stores across Australia in the next 2 years.”

And the brand is working on simplifying the cooking process using technology and streamline the menu, as well as reducing the number of staff required to reduce costs of setup as well as the cost of future models.

The three PappaRich models and their respective initial investments are:

  1. Express (takeaway): $600,000 + GST

  2. Semi-express (streamlined menu and 60 seating capacity): $900,000 + GST

  3. Full scale store (90 seating capacity or more): $1.2m + GST.

“The support system developed by Papparich allows our franchisees to communicate efficiently and directly with the top management team,” continued Lee.

“The support is also extended to after hours and weekends.”
