Pack & Send plan targets five new countries

Sarah Stowe

Australian owned and operated franchise network Pack & Send has revealed a two to three year plan that will see the company open in five key countries.

Pack & Send plans to set up a master franchise network in Singapore, Malaysia, Germany, Canada and Mexico. These are key logistical centres for international freight movement and Germany in particular will provide an important gateway to the European market.

“The Pack & Send business and franchise system has matured to the stage where we are ready to expand quickly into other key regions globally,” said Michael Paul, CEO Pack & Send. “Our plan will not only provide us with the opportunity to expand our franchise network internationally, but also provide our network with additional retail stores in key locations that will better service our customers’ freight around the world.”

Pack & Send has more than 100 stores in Australia, with four in New Zealand and two in the UK.

“Over the last year our store numbers have increased dramatically across all three countries, with 20 new stores opening over this period. Demand for our personalised freight and logistics service has driven this demand, and as we increase the network internationally, this will only drive further growth,” said Michael.

Although the Australian Pack & Send business system and franchise model will be exported to each of these countries, the success of the business will rest on finding the right master franchise partners to localise and develop each market.

“We are currently in the process of identifying suitable business partners as master franchisees for our brand to achieve our growth plan,” said Michael.

Pack & Send master franchisees will be individuals or established corporations that have strong business experience and are in a solid financial position; most importantly they will be aligned with the Pack & Send vision, mission and values.
