Newcastle the latest growth target for Cafe2U

Sarah Stowe

Aussie based mobile business Cafe2U has plans to grow its franchise base in the Newcastle area beyond the existing Maitland and Lakelands territories.

Managing director Derek Black said “Mobile businesses similar to Cafe2U are thriving because we bring the service directly to the customer. This enables the customer greater flexibility and convenience as we come to them, instead of them going out of their way to a fixed location.

“They offer a chance to work outdoors and are a lifestyle consideration. Newcastle offers a wonderful lifestyle change itself so we expect non-local as well as local investors to look at this opportunity. Not everybody wants to be stuck inside or desk-bound so a business like ours is a great alternative, particularly for the more suburban areas of Australia,” Black said.

“With four franchises operating close by on the Central Coast, there are no vacancies remaining there at this current point for further franchisees,” he said.

While growing the franchise further in Newcastle is a priority, Cafe2U also has territories available in the Taree, Port Macquarie and Coffs Harbour districts.

Franchise growth

Cafe2U now has 121 franchises in Australia and continues to expand into city and regional areas. Overseas there are almost 60 franchises in the UK and three in the newest market, the US. Country master licenses in Germany and South Africa have also been established and are due to launch later this year.
