New stores for cookie franchise

Cookie franchise Mrs Fields has opened two new stores, one in SydneyÕs Rhodes Shopping Centre, the other in Westfield Doncaster.

In Doncaster trained barista and ex-retailer, Stephen Phillips, was thrilled about opening his franchise at Westfield. “I vividly remember going with Mum on her annual Christmas shopping trips to the local mall. She would always stop in on the way to grab a freshly baked Mrs. Fields cookie for a treat. IÕve been a complete devotee since then,” he enthused.

Phillips becomes a first time dad in three weeks, and this, along with the desire to own his own company drove him to purchase a Mrs. Fields franchise.

“We had over 200 extremely keen applicants for the job! And I feel that we have employed the right people to provide the best service and enthusiasm for our customers.”

Sydney accountants Brian and Helena Zheng were keen to run their own business and have taken on the Rhodes franchise. They insist the economic crisis will not affect business.

“Everyone still loves to indulge themselves with a little treat from time to time, and we offer delicious cookies and great coffee for a price that isnÕt going to burn a hole in your pocket”, said Brian Zheng.

“Opening a store in Rhodes allows us to share something that is loved and appreciated around the world with our own lively customer base,” he added.

Mrs. Fields serves signature soft baked cookies, muffins, brownies and premium roasted coffee.
