New partnership for Hotondo Homes

Building and construction franchise, Hotondo Homes has formed a partnership with Make-A-Wish Australia.

The not-for-profit organisation helps to grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions, providing them with unique experiences they’ll never forget.

“We had been looking for a charity to align our brand with but nothing felt like the right fit until we came across Make-A-Wish,” said Hotondo Homes’ national marketing manager, Jodie Flower.

“Every family experiences different difficulties and Make-A-Wish doesn’t focus on one particular illness which is what drew us to them.”

She explained the charity’s family focus reflects the make-up of the brand’s franchisees

“We are a family oriented business. Hotondo Homes is owned by two brothers and most of our franchisees are made up of families.

“Something we loved about Make-A-Wish is that they include the whole family in the wish experience.”

A number of the company’s franchisees are embracing the new partnership through fundraising events in their local communities.

Evan Garnaut, sales consultant for Hotondo Homes Port Pirie in South Australia, ran for 24 hours straight and raised over $11,000 in the process, meanwhile two Melbourne based franchisees will host a golf day in March, where they hope to raise around $20,000.

Flower explained franchisees are getting involved in the fundraising efforts in myriad other ways, too.

“Some franchisees are donating money from each new investment home contract they sign, while others are showing their support by having donation tins in their offices and display homes,” she said.
