New offers at franchising expo

New franchising opportunities joined established brands at the weekend’s franchising expo in Perth. Mobile and home spray tan business Techno Tan and beauty chain Zubias Threading, focused on eyebrow shaping, were among the newbies showcasing their offer.

Regular franchise brand attendees included locally based Ovenclean, Chicken Treat and MultiwestPave, as well as Fastway Couriers, Minuteman Press, Aussie Farmers Direct, the Jim’s Group, Outback Jacks Bar & Grill, All Safe Energy Efficient Products, MBE Business Service Centres, Amazing Clean and Caltex Star Mart.

The show gave franchise prospects the chance to chat with franchisors and franchisees and discover more about the franchising industry through seminars and free advice sessions from franchisors, NAB, business.gov.au and the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission. Franchising magazine once again hosted the networking lounge.

Bootcamp sessions on each of the two days of the expo were well attended with franchise prospects eager to hear from current franchisees about the challenges and successes in running a franchise.

Some of the visitors were looking to convert existing businesses into franchise systems and found guidance and potential opportunities with franchise brokers at the expo.

The next Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo is in Melbourne, Friday 20 to Sunday 22 August, 2010.
