Healthy food franchise, SumoSalad has appointed Adam Arnold, formerly of Yum! Restaurants International as its new head of retail.

Arnold held a number of different positions during his 18 year stint at Yum!, including operations project leader, site development manager and business development manager at Pizza Hut and KFC.

He was most recently employed as the company’s head of operations excellence at Pizza Hut.

“It is a privilege to be asked to lead SumoSalad’s retail operations, as I have great respect for the brand and its vision,” Arnold said.

“The opportunity to help expand and grow the business in the franchise and QSR space is an exciting one. After spending almost two decades working with some of the most innovative brands in fast food, I am thrilled to bring my expertise to a business that is dedicated to providing Australians with healthy options.”

SumoSalad CEO Luke Baylis added Arnold has a wealth of experience and a proven track record in helping franchised businesses grow.

“Adam’s widespread knowledge and experience comes at a very exciting time for SumoSalad, as we aim to take the franchise to new heights and locations over the next five years.

“We’re excited to have him on board and believe the company will benefit greatly from his experience in the franchise and fast food arena. It’s also exciting to see him swap pizza and fried chicken for hearty and healthy salads!”

Arnold replaces former chief operating office Ian Winn, who is now CEO at Oporto.
