Mowing franchise expects 50-100 new sites per year

Sarah Stowe

Fox Mowing & Gardening, which is headed up by state franchisor (New South Wales and Queensland) Leo Lazich, is expanding.

The franchise has a presence nationally, except for in the Northern Territory and Tasmania, and is projecting 50-100 new franchises per year with regional opportunities available.

The initial investment starts at $16,000 and includes initial and ongoing training, IT/software, bookkeeping and accounting, and a no lock in contract. He said that franchisees can sell a franchise, buy the client list from the franchisor and take with them for their own business

Lazich also said franchisees receive an income guarantee of $32,500 in the first six months. Pricing and turnover guarentee may vary between areas.

An ideal franchisee has a strong physical background and loves the garden.

“Everyone in this business is from the mowing industry,” he says.

“We only sell mowing. And the franchisor actually mows.”
