Marketing drive for Sydney franchise opportunities at Battery World

Battery World Australia has its eyes set on Sydney-siders looking for franchising opportunities with its latest marketing campaign.

General manager of Battery World, John Pascoe, said the company has identified Sydney as a perfect location for the company’s expansion plans. A recent Sydney store launch brings the franchise network to 77 outlets around Australia, and another will open up by mid-year.

“We want to talk to small business people who have identified a need for a Battery World store in their part of Sydney,” he said.

Part of Battery World’s strategy is to encourage women and people with young families to consider the opportunities that franchising offers. “In our stores, we have an incredible diversity amongst our owners and managers. We’re proud of the fact that there is no such thing as a typical Battery World franchisee or manager. We want to encourage that same diversity as we continue to expand in Sydney.

“We have well and truly moved beyond the blokey stereotype of a battery store franchisee,” said Pascoe.

The company is seeing an increasing number of franchisees from backgrounds as diverse as mobile phone retailers, the defence forces, retailing and education.

“In addition to the essential nature of our products, we offer strong support to our people. With company owned stores already visible in Sydney, new franchisees will have the reassurance that they’re not alone. Our face to face support for new store owners is something that sets us apart,” Pascoe added.

Battery World Australia will have a presence at the Sydney Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo at Darling Harbour from Friday 1 to to Sunday 3 April.
