Loving the lifestyle – Queensland franchisees add to Cafe2U number

Mobile coffee franchise Cafe2U has launched three new franchises across the coast of Queensland and plans to continue its expansion across Australia’s other states in 2011.

Derek Black, Cafe2U’s managing director, said “the roll-out has picked up pace due to heavily marketing our offering across the coast of Queensland.”

Paul Edwards, who runs the Surface Paradise territory, said “Since purchasing the Cafe2U business it has given me that personal space and freedom I craved. I now have the ability to be able to start work early and finish earlier which frees up the afternoon, where I can spend time with my family or cater to my love for body building, motorcycling, Jet skiing and clay pigeon shooting.”

Franchisees Laurie and Geraldine Williamson who own a territory in Nerang have found more time to indulge their love for sea cruising. “Just prior to purchasing into the franchise, we had the opportunity to attend an intense 21 day course in New Zealand where we got to participate in physical exercises including sailing, canoeing and bushwalking. We are now fitter than ever and with our new hours can turn these activities in family-filled days out.”

And after 30 years of working as a butcher, Jeff Hunter made an unexpected career change when he introduced Cafe2U to the Southport Area. He describes the past two months as being the most enjoyable he has had in a long time.

“Being one of six kids, family was always a major part of my life while growing up. However for the past 30 years, I constantly felt exhausted due to all the early mornings, and found it really hard to pick myself up and do the things I love most like spending time with my own family, beach walking and playing golf and football with my buddies. This move has been wonderful for me.”

Cafe2U has 106 franchises across Australia with a further 53 operating in England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and Ireland.
