At a minimum you will require a franchise agreement, a franchise dislosure document and independent advice certificates. A franchisor is required by law to meet some basic requirements that ensure that its franchisees are informed about the relationship they are embarking upon and that ensure that franchisees are informed about key events that may impact upon the franchisors ability to provide the services the franchisor has agreed to provide. These obligations for the franchisor are set out in the Franchising Code of Conduct.
