Gecko Sports to reach 30 sites by year end

Gecko Sports is a multi-sport and fitness franchise for children from five to 13 years. Programs are 45 mins long and run at hired venues for 10 weeks in line with school terms.

Managing director Kim O’Donnell said Gecko Sports is suitable for most children and that they are “exposed to a lot of functional and technical skills sets”.

With 13 franchises currently operating in Australia, there are aggressive plans for growth. O’Donnell said that 17 new franchises are projected by the end of the year in regional and metropolitan sites.

“We want franchisees that are motivated to support children getting fit,” she said.

Successful franchisees also thrive in their community network. The initial investment is $30,000 and includes marketing, administrative and administrative support.
