Franchisee success celebrated in seminar sessions: Sydney expo

Franchisees will be sharing their success stories in daily panel sessions at the Sydney Franchising and Business Opportunities Expo this weekend. Keen potential franchisees can also hear the story at McDonald’s, which is exhibiting at the expo, and learn more about how to approach banks for finance.

The line-up of top performers in the seminar sessions includes award winning multi-unit franchisee and Boost Juice Hall of Fame inductee, Anthony Stahl; Ann King of First Class Accounts who reached a six figure income in her second year in the franchise; Sue Taylor from awarded mobile car detailing system Nanotek; and Clark Rubber’s franchisee of the year 2011, Ian Clarke.

Visitors to the event will hear from mobile franchisees in VIP Home Services and Appliance Tagging Services , learn what it’s like to run an Oporto business, discover how a Looksmart Alterations business can be a route to success, get tips from an ActionCoach franchisee, and find out what it takes to provide great franchisee support from PoolWerx’ Andrew Walker, Field Manager of the Year 2011 in the FCA Excellence in Franchising awards.

Tony Melhem, former Gloria Jean’s Coffees franchisee, franchisor of the Coco Cubano cafe chain and deputy chairman of the Franchise Council of Australia will also be participating in the panel event.

Sarah Stowe, editor of Franchising magazine, will be hosting the panel sessions at 12.30 and 3pm on Friday, Saturday and Sunday 23 to 25 March. The expo takes place at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre at Darling Harbour.
