Enterprise award for Xpresso Delight

Gourmet coffee machine franchise Xpresso Delight has won the enterprise category in the 2008 Australian Business Awards.

The national Australian Business Awards were established in 2003 and recognise success, innovation and ethics across all industry sectors

Competing against 118 other businesses Xpresso Delight was rated for its sustainable growth, outstanding commercial success and a willingness to undertake bold new ventures.

Xpresso Delight co-founders Stephen Spitz and Paul Crabtree said the recognition from the Australian Business Awards was the result of the franchise’s ability to provide franchisees with an impressive return on time invested.

“Our strength is in our business model which allows franchisees to leverage their valuable time to the fullest and earn better than the national average wage for working under 10 hours per week,” Spitz said.

“We are also one of the only businesses in Australia to promise our franchisees they will make a minimum 40 per cent revenue return on capital investment within the first six months or their franchise fee is refunded.

“It’s a team effort though and congratulations are due to our master agents and every member of our franchisee network as they have all contributed to our continued success.”

Paul Crabtree said plans are on track to operate a network of 100 franchises by the end of 2008.

“Our long-term goal is to operate a network of 250 franchises by 2012 and the majority of our franchise growth will come from full-time workers and stay-at-home parents looking for an extra source of income or a flexible business opportunity,” he said.

“We will be expanding overseas in 2009 and we are investing in research to identify where our business model is ideally suited for success. However, our primary focus will be on developing and growing Australia and New Zealand first where our market share still has staggering growth potential.”
