Domino’s serves up 1000 jobs

DominoÕs Pizza has announced 1000 new job opportunities across the franchise network in Australia.

CEO Don Meij said a recent surge in demand for value pizzas had meant many of the companyÕs 482 Australian stores were in need of extra pizza makers and delivery drivers, with some stores seeking up to 10 recruits.

Investment in technology such as the ability to order from a mobile phone or tablet has also played its part in boosting the Domino’s business, Meij said.

“Being at the forefront of this technology has meant we have made it easier for people to place their order and they have rewarded us for that by ordering more pizza than ever before.”

Meij added “It has also meant we have been able to deliver many efficiencies in our stores and across different layers of our business.”

There are 350 job opportunities in Queensland stores, 300 in NSW, 150 in Victoria, 100 in Western Australia, 50 in South Australia, 21 in the Australian Capital Territory, 20 in Tasmania and 10 in the Northern Territory.
