The crown of ‘Most Pizzas Made in One Hour’ has officially been handed to Domino’s Pizza’s Bundaberg outlet, which pumped out a Guinness World Record-breaking 837 pizzas in one hour on 21 January.

The hour between 5.30 and 6.30pm on the Saturday night saw the Domino’s team cook up more than 13 pizzas every minute. The store also set a new Domino’s worldwide record by making and selling more than 25,000 pizzas in one week.

Domino’s Bundaberg store manager Deeana Gatti said the pizza franchise’s team was thrilled it had set a new Guinness World Record.

“We had more than 120 team members coming from across Australia and New Zealand to help us out and to all be here to share in the excitement of breaking two records is an awesome feeling,” said Gatti.

While the team just missed out on breaking the record for ‘Most Pizzas Made in 24 hours by a Team’, they will attempt the record again later this year.

Domino’s is hoping for a week of records, yesterday kicking off a dessert giveaway promotion by which the franchise hoping to double its Facebook fan page in one week. It hopes to become Australia’s biggest brand on the social media site, and is incentivising people’s involvement by giving away free Choc Lava Cakes.
