Crust opens in Westfield Sydney

Gourmet pizza franchise, Crust, has opened its first ever food hall retail outlet at Sydney’s new Westfield shopping centre.

To service the fast paced environment of a food court, Crust is offering pizza in the traditional ‘al Taglio’ style, or pizza by the slice, cooked in front of customers.

Costa Anastasiadis, co-founder and managing director of Crust, said the move to retail space was a natural progression for the franchise.

“We have strong brand recognition across Sydney and Melbourne markets and have almost reached saturation in the number of stores across metro areas. We were looking at new business opportunities and it was a logical progression for us to look at retail shopping locations,” he said

The majority of the pizzas available at Crust’s Westfield Sydney food precinct are from the core menu, but there will also be a rotational trialling of new pizza varieties, developed by Crust’s creative head chef, Peter Augoustis.
