Convenience chain targets growth in WA and regional sites

A convenience franchise has its sights set on Western Australia and major regional centres in its 2017 growth plans.

7-Eleven is growing its network in 2017 with expansion plans in the works.

“In addition to continuing to look for great sites in our existing metropolitan markets, we will be looking for quality sites in Western Australia and those regional areas that have the potential for success in both the short and long term,” said a spokesperson from 7-Eleven.

“Major regional centres such as Toowoomba, Bathurst, Orange and Ballarat, have great potential to deliver future incremental growth for our business.

“From the customer response we’ve had to our stores in these areas, our quality convenience offer is certainly addressing a gap in those markets,” he added.

7-Eleven is looking for sites, both stand-alone stores and fuel sites, in areas with good footfall and customer traffic flow.

The news comes as 7-Eleven welcomed the Fair Work Ombudsman’s latest actions against a franchisee who allegedly underpaid workers in Brisbane.
